Bernie Evans Strevan Park Stud Simmental breeder for 32 years passed this October 2nd 2023. Condolences to his wife Fiona and seven children. Bernie bred near 300 head of stud Simmental and hundreds of commercial cattle. Bernie was a true cattleman who loved Simmental and found peace in fishing in the local Ovens River. He was a family man, bushman, horseman, Fire Brigade member, Vietnam Veteran (Rifleman), Show President, Poet and a decent quiet man. Simmentals were bred from 1990 to 2022. Finest bull is Strevan Park Danny who in 2019 took out the Victorian Awards Beef Bull Judging from perfect score. Owned by Chris McIlroy Agri gene Wangaratta. The bull is soft and heavy muscled.
