John Canavan Avoca Vale Simmental Mansfield.

John Canavan (1931 – 16.11.22 91yrs) passed recently. A Stud Simmental Breeder of near 20 years from 1975 – 1994. Over 2,000 registered Simmental. High quality genetics from Dunmore, Munga Park, Miraleste and Sundowner Ranches NZ. John was known in the Mansfield District of Victoria Australia for over 50 years. Based in Real Estate he opened up Residential Estates in Mansfield. John was a serving Shire Councillor, Chairman of the Mansfield Water Board and supporter of numerous Community Groups. The Stud Simmental carried the Title of Avoca Vale. The farm was in the high country of Mansfield, hilly terrain known as Ned Kelly country. One of the well known Simmental bulls was Munga Park Beauregard, bred by Bruce and Helen Burnell Frances South Australia. Beauregard was sired by Beat out of Munga Park Judi and sired hundreds of progeny.
